Time to defend the Victory Bell.

Things haven’t exactly gone to plan for the Carolina football team so far this season with early losses to Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. Mack Brown hasn’t lost to Duke since the year I was born, and you can be sure he’s not trying to have that change now as the Tar Heels attempt to maintain control of the Victory Bell in Chapel Hill.

If the bell is to remain the better shade of blue, a few things will have to go quite a bit better than they did last week in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets punched Carolina in the face early and the Heels looked shell-shocked the rest of the way. Sam Howell ended up on the ground repeatedly as the offensive line allowed eight sacks of their quarterback. The O-line has been a point of contention in the young season so far, and the offense can only go as far as their protection of UNC’s best weapon (Howell) will allow them.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
