UNC vs. Florida State: How to Watch

Another mobile quarterback. Drink.

NCAA Football: Duke at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the Florida State Seminoles later today in what should be a very interesting game. The Seminoles come into this game with a 1-4 record, but they haven’t exactly been getting blown out of the water, with the worst defeat being delivered by Wake Forest. In the other three losses, FSU lost by a total of 14 points, and even in their one win against Syracuse they only managed to win by three. What does this mean for the Tar Heels? I honestly have no idea.

One important thing to keep an eye on is how the Heels deal with Jordan Travis. Facing yet another athletic quarterback, Travis broke free for 113 yards against Syracuse, helping the team total 247 rushing yards. Jay Bateman has his work cut out for him just with Travis alone, but Treshaun Ward and Jashaun Corbin have also been playing really well. I’d love to label this as a “trap game,” but let’s be honest: the entire team almost certainly know what they’re getting themselves into. Let’s hope that the offense can fire on all cylinders, and that this defense has indeed taken a step forward after a spectacular performance against Duke.
