UNC vs. Loyola (MD): How to Watch

Basketball is finally back, and here’s how you can catch the first game of the season.

NCAA Basketball: Elizabeth City at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

It is time: Carolina basketball has returned for the 2021-22 season. Out is former Hall of Fame coach Roy Williams (still really weird to say), in is the new head coach and former assistant, Hubert Davis. This change, along with the new transfers, have been mentioned ad nauseam ever since Williams’ retirement announcement, but truly this is the most change the program has seen since 2004. Tonight we will see the Heels for the first time in a regular season game, and I personally am excited witness the ushering in of the new era.

A good amount of Tar Heel Nation will likely be at the game, but for the many of you who will not, here is how you can watch as the Heels take on Loyola (MD):

  • Time: 7 PM ET
  • Location: Dean Smith Center - Chapel Hill, NC
  • TV: ACC Network with Doug Sherman and Cory Alexander on the call
  • Radio: Tar Heel Sports Network (list of affiliates) with Jones Angell on play-by-play, Eric Montross as analyst. THSN is available online through The Varsity Network and the TuneIn app. On Sirius XM, the THSN broadcast will air on channel 81.
  • Streaming: The ACC Network broadcast will stream on the Watch ESPN app on all your various devices.
