UNC at Clemson: How to Watch

Before the long-awaited showdown in Durham, the Tar Heels need to take care of the Tigers

NCAA Basketball: North Carolina at Pittsburgh Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Tar Heels have been rolling. After a rocky start combined with an inconsistent schedule, Roy Williams’ team has found some momentum by playing the games that were scheduled to be played. Growth we normally would have seen a month ago is starting to take place, and now the next step for this team is to make sure they can keep improving as they round out the first half of their ACC Schedule.

Meanwhile, Clemson has seen their season completely go off the rails. Once seemingly one of the best teams in the country, the Tigers have looked like a completely different team since their COVID-induced pause. If they have any hope of seeing action in mid to late March, then they likely have this game circled as one they need to turn their season around — they don’t have a ton of quality opponents left. After multiple 20+ point losses in their last five games, they know things need to change quick.

With the penchant of the Tar Heels to play down to their competition, there’s a real chance this game will be closer than it should be. We should know early on what sort of night we are in for.
