UNC vs. Syracuse: Game Thread

Will the Heels finally be able to end the vicious cycle of losing games that follow big wins?

NCAA Basketball: Florida State at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Following what was a special performance against one of the best teams in the country, the North Carolina Tar Heels are back in action tonight against Syracuse. The Heels made it out of the month of February with a winning record, but it wasn’t without a fair share of dysfunction. Here is how each game panned out:

vs. Clemson = Loss

vs. Duke = Win

vs. No. 21 Virginia = Loss

vs. Northeastern = Win

vs. Louisville = Win

vs. Marquette = Loss

vs. No. 11 Florida State = Win

Anybody that still doesn’t know what to make of this team, just know that you are not alone. This team has shown glimpses of domination and toughness at times, and at other times have appeared very uninterested in playing basketball. The correlation of course is that most losses have followed big wins, which makes tonight’s game especially interesting. Will we finally witness some form of consistency, or is this team doomed to be stuck in limbo? We’ll find out in a matter of minutes.

As always, we will be back with you all after the game with some post-game analysis. Until then, Go Heels!
