UNC Men’s Tennis: Four Named to All-ACC Teams

On Thursday, four members of the North Carolina Tar Heels men’s tennis team received All-ACC honors.

For the fourth year in a row, William Blumberg earned first team All-ACC honors. Sophomore Rinky Hijikata joins Blumberg on the first team.

Brian Cernoch earns league honors for the second time, this year on the All-ACC second team.

Benjamin Sigouin is on the All-ACC third team, the third time he received ACC honors.

Currently, UNC holds a 19-3 overall record and is ranked sixth in the nation. Here are the latest singles and doubles updates in the national polls.

Singles:

  • No. 21: Hijikata
  • No. 40: Blumberg
  • No. 57: Sigouin
  • No. 59: Cernoch

Doubles:

  • No. 3: Blumberg/Cernoch
  • No. 59: Mac Kiger/Simon Soendergaard

After their 3-4 loss in the ACC Tournament Finals, Carolina is preparing for the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA Regionals start next week at campus sites.
