The North Carolina Tar Heels are off in the bubble and in the 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship tournament.
The Tar Heels are the No. 3 seed in the Lubbock Regional, joining host Texas Tech, No. 2 seed UCLA and No. 4 seed Army West Point.
UNC was listed as one of the last four in the tournament. Despite a record just over .500, Carolina won six of its last nine games to close out the season. Some of those victories came against ranked opponents.
Another resume builder for UNC was their eighth toughest schedule in the country.
Carolina will start postseason play Friday, June 4 at 7:00 PM versus UCLA.
UNC is one of eight ACC teams in the postseason. They join Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, and Virginia in the tournament. Pitt was one of the last four teams out.
