UNC Football: Georgia Tech Game Thread

UNC tries to make it three in a row.

After a rough initial start to the season, UNC Football is looking to pick up their third straight win as they take on Georgia Tech in Mercedes-Benz Stadium. While technically a neutral site, hopefully the Tar Heel faithful have traveled to help out the good guys in the Yellow Jackets’ backyard.

Last week, the Carolina offense ran (and threw) all over Virginia. Sam Howell and Josh Downs had huge nights while Ty Chandler did a good job of emerging as a reliable piece of the offensive picture. Hopefully all those things remain true, as well as the improved play we saw from the offensive line vs. the earlier games.

Georgia Tech is a different team, of course, but the offense that showed up last week can pretty much hang with anyone in the ACC. We’ll see if that train continues to ride in Atlanta tonight.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
