UNC Football: Clemson Game Thread

Can the Tar Heels exorcise their Tigers demons?

NCAA Football: Duke at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Looking at the schedule several weeks back, it felt like this game would have more meaning. Clemson, of course, has not been Clemson this season, but Carolina’s two losses to Virginia and Georgia Tech have really put a damper on the stakes of this season.

It would be nice to beat Clemson in any year, though, especially on the road. The Tar Heels still have something to play for, so every win matters. That becomes especially true with the Miami and Louisville game close in the final minutes of the fourth quarter of that game at the time of writing this. Maybe there’s a chance!

It has become clear that we need to see more from Gene Chizik’s defense. The offense has done their part far more often than not. They’ve had to resort to heroic escapes because of the defense letting down their end of the bargain. Can’t do that today if they want to come away with a win.

As always, we’ll be back after the game with a complete roundup of the happenings. Until then...

Go Heels!
