UNC vs. Florida State: How to Watch

ACC play has officially arrived for the Tar Heels.

NCAA Basketball: Tennessee at North Carolina Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

UNC will open ACC play against Florida State later this afternoon in the Dean Dome. This is the first time that the Tar Heels will open conference play against the Seminoles since the 2006-07 season, and right now they lead the series 53-16. If we are to follow in the steps of oddsmakers, there’s a very high chance that the Heels will improve their win count to 54, but last night’s college basketball games proved that odds can’t really be trusted, can they?

Normally this is the part where we talk a little bit about the game, but there’s something important that needs to be discussed. Former Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim will be joining Wes Durham and Corey Alexander to call this afternoon’s game, which is something I never thought I would be typing as a writer for this website. Boeheim joining the media circuit to call a basketball game is quite a hilarious development considering how he treated reporters during his coaching career. If you do not want to find out how good or bad of an analyst Boeheim is, I would recommend either attending the game or muting your TV and listening to the radio. You’ve been warned.

If you are not able to make it to Chapel Hill, here are the full details of how you can watch, listen, and stream the game:

  • Time: 2:00 PM ET
  • Location: Dean Smith Center — Chapel Hill, NC
  • TV: ACC Network with Wes Durham, Corey Alexander, and Jim Boeheim on the call
  • Radio: Tar Heel Sports Network with Jones Angell, Brian Simmons, and Lee Pace. Here’s a list of affiliates airing the THSN broadcast. You can also listen to them on GoHeels.com, The Varsity Network, and Tune In. At the time of writing, no Sirius XM station was listed by the school.
  • Streaming: WatchESPN
  • Line: UNC -13.5
