THB Staff Picks: ACC Basketball Week of 1/23/17

The Tar Heels swept another week with a victory over Syracuse on Monday and a win against Boston College in Boston this weekend. They have now won their last six games in a row and are tied for first place with Florida State. Can they make it eight this week?

North Carolina will go up against Virginia Tech back in the Dean Dome on Thursday. The Hokies did well early in the season but are now just 3-3 in conference play. UNC will then head down south to take on the Hurricanes this Saturday. Miami currently has a 2-3 losing record against ACC opponents. Both should offer some tricky competition, but there is no reason why the Heels shouldn’t take both games.

As for the rest of the conference, Duke and NC State face off tonight in a meteor game. FSU will be up against Georgia Tech and Syracuse this week. The Tar Heel Blog staff has made their picks for the week ahead. Make your picks and let us know what you think.
