Selection Sunday did not disappoint with its promise of suspense and controversy. The wait is over, the 68 teams have been chosen, and now the 2017 NCAA Tournament field is set. For the next few weeks, you will have nothing else to do or think about but college basketball. Now is the time to get your bracket in order before it is too late. Can you get a perfect bracket?

After losing to Duke in the ACC Tournament, it was up in the air where North Carolina would seed. The selection committee looked favorably on the Tar Heels and awarded them the top seed in their region anyway. Villanova, Kansas, and Gonzaga are the no. 1 seeds for their respective regions as well.

The Tar Heels have been placed in the Southern Region alongside no. 2 Kentucky, no. 3 UCLA, no. 4 Butler, and no. 5 Minnesota. Their first game will be against no. 16 Texas Southern on March 17 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
