ACC summary
The loss at UVA may seem like it happened a month ago, but UNC actually did split the week’s games. They drop a spot to 6th. Louisville falls two spots to tenth after their loss at Wake Forest. Duke also split and inexplicably moved up three spots because it is Duke and those are the kind of breaks they get. Florida State’s split on the week dropped them to 16th. Virginia and Notre Dame wrap up the ACC’s top 25 teams at 21st and 22nd respectively.
Championship Week Bracket Projection
Joe Lunardi, the only bracketologist worth his weight in crumpled up brackets, has UNC as his no. 1 seed in the South Region. Aggregate site, BracketMatrix.com averages together 127 different projections. The Tar Heels average out at 1.05, putting them as the 3rd overall seed on average across the interwebs. Look for one win to cement a no. 1 seed with the possibility of stealing the top overall seed with a second consecutive ACC Tournament Championship.
Rising and Falling
Trending up: Purdue, Duke (how?!?), Cincinnati all moved up 3 spots
Trending down: Butler and Florida both fell 5 spots while Miami fell from 25th to receiving the eleventh most votes in the “others receiving votes” group
