How to watch/listen to UNC vs. Virginia Tech

Here’s how to tune in to the Tar Heels’ game against the Virginia Tech Hokies.

NCAA Football: Pittsburgh at North Carolina Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Rain from Hurricane Matthew is certainly in the forecast for today’s game in Chapel Hill, but North Carolina will indeed take on Virginia Tech!

Even after last week’s craziness against Florida, this one should be a pretty good matchup as well. The Tar Heels are 4-1, while the Hokies (coming off a bye week) are 3-1, and both teams are ranked—17th for UNC and 25th for Virginia Tech. This should be an extremely tight showdown, as different oddsmakers seem to be split about who should receive the slim edge. It should be noted though that the Hokies have yet to defeat a ranked opponent and were pummeled by then-No. 17 Tennessee a few weeks back.

Mitch Trubisky will try to lead the Heels to another victory on the strength of his receiving corps, but his opponent should not be overlooked. The junior Jerod Evans has done a fine job driving the Hokies down the field early on, and he’s a mobile quarterback too. The Tar Heels’ defense will have to be on their toes to handle Evans, and their special teams unit has to shut down the Hokies’ return specialist, Greg Stroman. If Trubisky continues his Heisman bid though, it will be tough for Virginia Tech to keep pace.

Let’s go Heels! Stay dry, everyone.
