Previously, recruits were hesitant to commit to the Tar Heels for fear of punishment that may come at any moment. Now that those concerns have lifted, prospective players are back to thinking of the school right up there among the top destinations.
Chapelboro.com | Charlton Budd: 356 Carolina student athletes made the 2015-2016 ACC Academic Honor Roll, a record number for the program. Athletes maintaining a 3.0 are named to the honor roll each year. UNC's previous high of 347 came in 2013-2014.
News-Gazette | Bob Asmussen: In ranking the top 50 college football teams for 2016, the News-Gazette has the Tar Heels coming in 25th. They project Carolina's final season record to be 10-2, culminating in a trip to the Orange Bowl. I think we'd all happily take those predictions coming true.
