UNC football recruiting: DE Savion Jackson named North Carolina in his top 10

The Tar Heels are in on a 2019 four-star defensive end.

North Carolina football might be in the middle of a nightmare season right now, but work on the recruiting trail continues. Defensive end Savion Jackson, of the class of 2019, has named the Tar Heels among his top 10 teams. Other programs that made the cut include Alabama, Clemson, Louisville, NC State, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech.

The four-star strong-side defensive end ranks 50th on the national level. As a native of Clayton, North Carolina he ranks second in his home state and fifth at his position. He hasn’t been too active as of yet, but he does have plenty of time to move up in the rankings and check out his options.

As things stand now, UNC will need Jackson’s help by then. Current freshmen Jake Lawler and Tomon Fox will be upperclassmen in 2019, and Chris Collins will no longer be on campus. No matter what, you always want a top 50 guy.
