The Tar Heels have sent out a few offers to 2019 prospects over the week as Larry Fedora attempts to look to the future while the current team continues to flail. Four-star wide receiver Frank Ladson received an offer. The Miami resident ranks 21st in the state of Florida. Three-star tight end Larry Hodges also has a scholarship offer. He is a Tampa resident and ranks 21st among all tight ends in his class.
Fedora has also given scholarships to three-star running back Aaron Young and four-star defensive tackle Ben Smiley. Young is from Pennsylvania and ranks 11th in the state. Smiley is from Virginia, and he ranks 18th at his position and ninth within his state.
UNC basketball had a big week on the recruiting trail with Late Night with Roy serving as the centerpiece. The Tar Heels had several top recruits in attendance, including five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford and five-star small forward Wendell Moore. Sources say that Moore is expected to announce his decision around the end of November or early December.
Another 2018 recruit, four-star power forward Darius Days says he is set to make his decision as early as today. Rivals believes that it will come down to either UNC or LSU in the end, so we’ll see what he says.
Earlier in the week, five-star power forward Vernon Carey Jr. released his list of final eight schools, including North Carolina among them.
