North Carolina’s class of 2018 just improved substantially with the announcement that five-star small forward Nassir Little has officially committed to UNC. Little is the ninth-best talent in his class and the fourth-best at his position. The Orlando native also ranks second in his home state.

Back in August, Little included the Tar Heels in his list of final five schools, which included Arizona, Miami, Duke, and Georgia Tech. Roy Williams had offered him in July before bringing him in for an official visit in September. The coach had only just visited him in Orlando within the last few weeks.

Things took a turn for Little recently following the bribery scandal with Arizona being one program under investigation. Some wonder if he may be involved, considering his connection to several entities currently being investigated. He backed away from the Wildcats, and it seems that the Tar Heels were able to benefit form that in some way.

An excellent recruiting class that already included a backcourt of Coby White and Rechon Black now has a top 10 talent in Nassir Little. Following his decision, 247 Sports has named UNC’s 2018 class as the best in the country. North Carolina is coming off a national title, and now it looks like the team will be set for the future.
