North Carolina is fresh off National Signing Day, where they brought in their incoming class of 2017. Now it’s time to focus our attention on the class of 2018, as four-star offensive tackle Nana Asiedu narrows his top 10 schools to include UNC.
The field included a total of 20 teams prior to his Twitter announcement on Tuesday night. Along with North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Clemson, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and LSU have also made it to the next round.
The six-foot-six, 265-pound Stafford, Virginia native is ranked as the no. 105 player in the national composite. He is said to be the 11th-best offensive tackle in his class, and the third-best talent out of his home state.
Asiedu attended the Tar Heels Freak Show prospect camp in June and returned to Chapel Hill for an unofficial visit in October. He reportedly named Clemson as the leader on the recruiting trail.

The Tar Heels have yet to offer him, but Asiedu is said to be an explosive and athletic tackle that has the makings of a very good college football player. If he’s including them in his top 10, talks must still be ongoing, so I would imagine an offer is coming soon.
