Football
Even in the middle of the football season, Larry Fedora is thinking longterm by offering three members of the 2019 class. Four-star defensive tackle C.J. Clark is an in-state recruit who ranks 311 nationally. Three-star Missouri recruit Kyren Williams is the 117-best wide receiver in his class. Three-star defensive end Noah Potter also received an offer. The Ohio native is ranked 14th in his state.
This is expected to be a big weekend for Carolina football in a lot of ways. Not only do they have to defeat Louisville and right the ship, but a number of key recruits will also be in attendance.
2018 Four-star linebacker Payton Wilson was in attendance for UNC’s loss against Cal in the opener. He will be returning this Saturday for another look at the team. Joining him will be four-star linebacker Dax Hollifield and four-star defensive tackle Rick Sandidge.
Basketball
Football wasn’t the only sport that was busy last weekend as basketball had a few visiting players in attendance as well. Four-star shooting guard Josh Nickelberry and four-star forward Joey Baker from the 2019 class were both seen taking in the game against Cal.
This weekend will be even more important with several big names coming to see the Tar Heels against the Cardinals. Having Michael Jordan in attendance might also play a part in this.
Five-star small forward Nassir Little will be in attendance on Saturday. The Florida recruit is currently ranked 11th in the 2018 recruiting class. Four-star forward Wendell Moore will also be there. He’s an in-state recruit who is ranked 24th in the class of 2019. Making a very important visit will be 2019 five-star power forward Armando Bacot. The big man from Virginia ranks 17th in his class.
Several commits will also be there, including 2018 point guard Rechon “Leaky” Black and 2019 point guard Jeremiah Francis, who committed just last month.
